Which companies in Tennessee sponsor visas for data analysts?
HCA Healthcare and Cigna are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors for data analysts in Tennessee, particularly in Nashville. FedEx's technology operations in Memphis and Oak Ridge National Laboratory near Knoxville also have hiring histories for analytical roles requiring sponsorship. Mid-sized healthcare IT firms and insurers concentrated along the Nashville corridor round out the sponsorship pool for this role.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data analysts in Tennessee, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science. Some candidates at research institutions like Oak Ridge National Laboratory may encounter J-1 visa or O-1 visa pathways, but employer-sponsored H-1B petitions dominate hiring for this role statewide.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most data analyst visa sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads the state by a significant margin, driven by its concentration of healthcare, insurance, and fintech employers. Memphis is the second most active market, anchored by logistics and supply chain companies that need analysts to support large-scale operations. Knoxville has a smaller but notable presence, particularly around federal research facilities and the University of Tennessee's affiliated employers.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters data analyst roles in Tennessee by confirmed visa sponsorship history, so you're not applying to positions where sponsorship is uncertain. You can browse openings across Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville and filter by employer type, making it straightforward to identify which healthcare, logistics, or tech companies are actively hiring analysts who need H-1B or other work visa support.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for data analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Tennessee's data analyst market is heavily shaped by healthcare, which means prevailing wage determinations for sponsored roles often reflect that industry's compensation norms rather than pure tech-sector benchmarks. Employers in Nashville's healthcare corridor file a high volume of Labor Condition Applications, which is publicly searchable and a useful signal of active sponsorship activity. The University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt also generate OPT candidates who later transition to H-1B through local employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
