Which companies sponsor visas for data analysts in Kansas?
Some of the more active sponsors for data analyst roles in Kansas include Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) in Kansas City, Koch Industries in Wichita, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, and Spirit AeroSystems. Large healthcare systems like The University of Kansas Health System also sponsor analysts. Sponsorship patterns shift over time, so checking recent H-1B visa disclosure data gives the most accurate picture of which employers are actively filing.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data analyst positions in Kansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like statistics, computer science, or mathematics. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while their employer initiates H-1B sponsorship. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose data analyst role meets the applicable criteria.
Which cities in Kansas have the most data analyst sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, which straddles the Kansas-Missouri border, accounts for the largest share of data analyst sponsorship activity in Kansas, with Overland Park and Lenexa hosting significant employer concentrations. Wichita is the second-largest market, driven by aerospace and manufacturing data needs. Topeka sees more limited activity, primarily through state government agencies and insurance companies headquartered there.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have demonstrated visa sponsorship willingness, which saves data analyst candidates from sifting through postings that won't lead anywhere. Search for data analyst positions in Kansas on Migrate Mate to surface roles at employers in Overland Park, Wichita, and the broader Kansas City corridor that are open to sponsoring H-1B and other work visas.
Are there state-specific considerations for data analysts seeking sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not have a state-level visa sponsorship program, so all sponsorship goes through federal pathways like the H-1B. Employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metro area where the job is located, and Kansas City and Wichita have different prevailing wage determinations. University pipelines from the University of Kansas and Kansas State University feed local employers with international graduates who frequently need sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
