Which companies sponsor visas for technical architects in Colorado?
Colorado's largest visa sponsors for technical architect roles include Arrow Electronics, Lockheed Martin, Palantir Technologies, DISH Network, and Elevance Health, all of which have filed H-1B visa petitions for senior technology positions. Denver-based consulting firms and federal contractors also sponsor regularly, particularly for cloud and enterprise architecture roles tied to long-term infrastructure projects.
Which visa types are most common for technical architects in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical architects in Colorado, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates with extraordinary ability may pursue the O-1A. Australians are eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no annual lottery, making it a more predictable path for qualifying applicants.
Which cities in Colorado have the most technical architect sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of technical architect sponsorship activity in Colorado, driven by its concentration of tech companies, financial services firms, and consulting practices. Boulder follows, with a strong presence of software and data companies. Colorado Springs is notable for defense and government contractors, where systems and solution architects are frequently hired for cleared and non-cleared positions.
How to find technical architect visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find technical architect roles in Colorado where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-willing positions, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship isn't available. You can search by role and state to surface Colorado-specific listings across Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs without sifting through generic job postings.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for technical architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating offers against Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions. Colorado also has a strong pipeline of engineering talent from the University of Colorado and Colorado State University, which means employers in the state are generally experienced with sponsoring technical roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical architect jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
